From Lisa:

“Releasing this to close out my year is something very special for a few specific reasons: Firstly, it was a milestone record for me that I composed and recorded in the winter of 1994. It was intended as what I then called a “monochromatic tone poem” of all ARP synthesizers. No other instruments. I had become inspired beyond the threshold of obsession to combine the collection of ARPs I had installed in my studio at that time. My studio was in this tiny 4 room shack in West Virginia. Hidden away from distraction. It was a perfect place to strive and gain some beautiful momentum…

I used to dream of what it would be like to meet Alan R. Pearlman and to play him a tape of these extensive compositions of his ever-inspiring inventions.!Recorded and mixed manually on a Tascam 388, 488, and mixed to my trusted Otari MX5050. Now, in the same month 26 years later I finally have come full circle. To really have the chance to reopen these master tapes and give them the polish they deserve. To be back in the countryside again, where the evocation of this music and it’s heart felt calculations began. To finally, be invited to offer this music as a celebration of Alan’s work through the recently launched Alan R. Pearlman Foundation. Words can’t express how equally grateful and proud I am to contribute to such an amazing efflorescence of musical and technological innovation and history.

The countless hours and efforts of realizing this music then filled me with a passion and drive that sustains today. The signal path of Alan’s instruments as well as the unique complimentary way they orchestrate with one other is something rare and precious. They have a musical voice that inspired my own within the electronic forest of my muse. Line by line and track by track, a garden wall of deep musical intentions grew and took shape through the process of this recording.
