Preliminary REPORT:

The ARP Foundation’s goal is to empower five Residencies at the ARPs for All Project per year, at a yearly fundraising goal of $50,000, or $10,000 per artist.

The Residency at the ARPs for All Project program is a new collaboration between the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation’s ARPs for All program and The Record Co, a well-known and beautifully renovated music community space in Boston. The Record Co boasts an impressive collection of recording studios, production suites, sought-after equipment (including a wonderful collection of vintage and contemporary ARP synthesizers,) and knowledgeable engineers to help amplify the creative process.

The program’s goal is a perfect extension of the Foundation’s core mission: The chosen Artist will be creating works that set inspiring examples for emerging electronic musicians, and encourage them to take their own music further. Through this program, the Artist-in-Residence will have the opportunity to not only take an important next step in their own career, but also to give something back to the music community.

The Resident will have access to the gear, space, and time they need to create something truly special, thanks to the amazing facilities at The Record Co and the ARPs for ALL collection.

Here’s how the program works:

Prospective Artists will submit an application providing details with applicants’ identities hidden during selection, the winning Artist will be chosen by a committee of music industry leaders with notable achievements in the field of music synthesis.

The Artist will be selected based on their existing body of work, as well as on the project they intend to work on during the Residency.

The resulting project will be featured by the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation on its website and social media, and will be similarly highlighted by The Record Co and various affiliated press outlets.

Full copyright ownership of the resulting project will be held by the Artist, with educational and promotional rights given to both The Record Co. and the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation.
