In celebration of Alan R. Pearlman’s 100th birthday, the Alan R. Pearlman Foundation is planning a series of events in 2025 to commemorate and further our namesake’s legacy. One of these is a compilation of music composed, performed on and/or produced using ARP synthesizers – and we would like you to consider submitting a track! Here are the details:

Who:
The Alan R Pearlman Foundation in collaboration with Steve Roach and Chris Meyer

What:
As part of the celebration, we are planning a compilation album in digital format for distribution through the major streaming sources including Bandcamp, featuring a variety of artists using ARP synthesizers – and we would love for you to be part of it!

Where:
The physical version will be a Limited collectors edition CD with pieces selected from digital version

When:
The deadline for submission of the unmastered finished track is May 15.

How:
Tracks may be old or new, with a maximum duration of 10 minutes. They do not need to use ARP instruments exclusively, but we do want at least one ARP instrument to feature prominently. This can include authorized hardware reproductions and VSTs. Steve Roach and Chris Meyer will be selecting and sequencing the final tracks from the submissions.

  • We ask for a non-exclusive limited license giving us permission to release this track as part of our compilation in both physical and streaming forms, with the direct income generated being donated to the ARP Foundation.

  • You retain copyright in both the songwriting and sound recording, full publishing ownership and collecting your own performance royalties, and otherwise using the track as you see fit.

  • If selected, you will also receive complimentary CDs of the final compilation, as well as credit in liner notes and in our publicity campaigns.

  • We will need a list of instrumentation used, as well as any other credits in the form you want them to appear.

  • We also love stories about both your track in particular and your relationship with ARP instruments in general that we may quote as part of the publicity.

  • Please fill out the form. Included we are asking for

    • Name of track
    • Year of Composition
    • Optional artist statement (keep to one paragraph)
    • Short bio (and links to website and/or music page)
    • Attach headshot
    • Compressed soundfile
    • Link to uncompressed soundfile (link to DropBox or Google Drive is best)

Why:
All proceeds from the digital release will go to the support of the Alan Pearlman Foundation and its mission to celebrate the legacy of inventor, musician, entrepreneur and engineer Alan R. Pearlman, by making his innovative inventions publicly accessible, and by inspiring future generations to imagine and create.
